Partnering Event for the Call on Franco-German Cooperation in Civil Security Research
Date: March 1, 2011 (10-16 h)
Fraunhofer Ernst-Mach-Institute, EMI
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the “Agence nationale de la recherche” (ANR) have published coordinated calls end of January 2011. These calls provide the opportunity for Franco-German consortia to jointly submit proposals for interdisciplinary research projects in the area of civil security. Such projects should develop and conduct research into innovative solutions, taking into account technological and societal dimensions. Furthermore, funding can also be granted to independent projects dealing with overarching societal and cross-cutting issues. Further information:

In order to support potential partners in forming Franco-German consortia and to support the preparation of joint project proposals, the VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH (project agency for security research), organizes a partnering event in cooperation with the ANR. The event will take place on March 1, 2011 at the Fraunhofer Ernst-Mach-Institute in Freiburg.
At the partnering event participants will have the opportunity to discuss and to make contact with potential German and French partners. Within a poster and a short presentation session, competence profiles or project ideas can be presented. Furthermore, participants will be informed on the aims and content of the calls for proposals as well as the application procedure.
In order to make the partnering event as successful as possible, French and German participants are encouraged to use the Partnering Platform in order to identify potential partners prior to the event. By using this service, French and German potential applicants will have the opportunity to publish and to search partner profiles. This service can also be used for potential applicants that will not have the opportunity to attend the Partnering Event.
The Partnering Platform is available at: http://www.de-fr.info/
The registration has been closed on February 22, 2011.
